Stand alone NVQs are available for individuals of all ages, but are recommended for those over the age of 25 who are likely to have previous experience in the workplace.
Are open to everyone living in England and Wales who are not currently in full-time education. Entry requirements are flexible because Apprenticeships aren't just based on academic achievement, practical skills and a genuine interest in the area of work you have chosen are also taken into account.
The Government has highlighted the importance of vocational training in developing the nation’s skills base and as a result has allocated money to fund training for eligible candidates.
