Welcome to JHP Hull
Kingston Upon Hull, commonly known as Hull, takes its name and status from the ancient "Kings Towne on the River Hull". The regeneration of this once heavily industrialised City means there are more openings and increased specialisation in the tourism industry, as we seek to "sell" our extensive local history.
Established for well over 16 years, JHP Training is one of the longest running training agents in the Hull area. Our team has delivered quality training to young people over the years helping many develop and grow in the world of work. We continue to build excellent relationships with numerous local businesses, providing them with customised training for their employees.
What's New In JHP Hull
From Mortar Board to Marathon
As if working for JHP Training was not hard enough work, just look at what else can be done: In the last six months Pat Godney, Training Manager at JHP Hull, has got not one but two major achievements under her belt.
After many hours of burning the midnight oil, Pat was deservedly awarded her Certificate in Education from the University of Huddersfield. And, as if that was not enough, just a short while afterwards she was to be seen crossing the finishing line at the London Marathon. Pat raised a huge £1000 for the British Heart Foundation, and, believe it or not, is planning to go back next year to better her finish time. Both of these feats were lifelong ambitions for Pat, which leads us to ask - what else does she have planned?
All Pat's colleagues at JHP are very proud of her achievements and congratulate her with a 'very well done'!
Marathon Journey through Vocational Training pays Dividends for Michele
If you want an example of hard work and determination in the workplace, look no further than Michele Darby. Over the four years she's been training with JHP she has achieved no fewer than four Apprenticeship qualifications!
Michele joined JHP directly after leaving school, and initially worked on placement at Kingston Windows & Glass while she achieved an Apprenticeship in Administration. Her commitment to both her employer and her training programme was evident from day one, where she happily accepted a daily three hour round trip to work.
Clearly, Michele's dedication and training have thus far paid off for her. Her first qualification enabled her to gain full-time employment and since she has been going from strength to strength within her current company, gaining confidence and learning new skills as she progresses.
JHP are pleased to have helped and supported Michele through a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Administration, Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Administration, Level 2 Apprenticeship in Using IT and most recently Level 3 Apprenticeship in Customer Service. Well done, Michele, for all your hard work!
JHP Hull - A Caring Business Centre
Early Years Care has recently been added to the wide range of qualifications the Hull Centre offers, and has quickly become a huge success. Our EYC Assessor has already trebled her caseload over the past three months, her reputation being such that more and more people are approaching us with enquiries and requests to join the scheme.

IT Qualifications
In addition to our standard courses, JHP Hull also offers 'IT Professional/Practitioner NVQ Levels 1, 2 & 3' (PC building and Repair) and 'Operating ICT Systems NVQ Level 2', two qualifications which reflect our firm reputation for providing quality training in various areas of the Information Technology industry.
