Get Ready for Work

If you are aged 16-19 and looking for support to help you move into work or training, then Get Ready for Work is just what you have been looking for.

The programme depends upon exactly what you want out of life, identifies the skills you need to achieve it and then helps you achieve these skills.

You will be assigned you own advisor and together draw up a personalised plan for your programme to make sure that you are heading in the right direction.

What's Involved?

Some of the support you can receive include:

• Help to improve your Maths, English and communication skills
• Support on how to find employment or further training
• Help with interview techniques and preparation
• Practical advice on how to write a CV and complete an application form
• Training to develop your IT skills
• Work experience placements to help you decide what job is right for you

What Happens When I Finish?

The aim of Get Ready for Work is to help you get to a point where you are able to continue into employment, training or further education. If you choose to get a job, then JHP Employability can help you to access a Modern Apprenticeship to support your employment and ensure that you progress as far as possible in your new workplace.
