Training for Work is a programme designed for anyone looking to re-enter employment and is particularly suitable if you have been made redundant and are looking for new skills to help in your job search.

 

What's Involved?

From the first day of unemployment, you are entitled to a programme of support including:

  • A skills assessment to identify possible area for training or refreshing existing qualifications.
  • Practical help with CV building, letter writing and application forms.
  • Advice on job search techniques and interview skills.
  • Introduction to employers and industries suitable to you and your skills.
  • Motivation and assertiveness training.
  • IT and internet training.
     

Job-specific training available through the Training for Work programme can help you to retrain for a new career and includes:
