Whether you are leaving school, employed and looking to boost your skills, unemployed and looking for a job or simply looking for a new challenge, JHP Training has a vocational training solution to set you on the road to career success. But don't just take our word for it - below are some comments from learners who have achieved their goals by working with JHP Training.
"The tutor I was allocated to was excellent and very
supportive. She was always available at the end of a phone, email or
in person...At the end of each session, we would discuss what would
be done at the next session so I was always prepared. We would recap
on what had been done at the previous session and discuss any
concerns I may have had.
The Apprenticeship was not intrusive and I found it fitted in well with my day to day role. There were occasional bits of homework but nothing too onerous. I throughly enjoyed it and now have a qualification in management."
Lindsay Bentley, Birmingham
"I have been in an administration role for 31 years and I have to say at first I thought I was too old, but I was encouraged by my team leader to take on an Apprenticeship so that I would have a qualifications to show if I should need it in the future.
I am currently still doing my Apprenticeship whereas some colleagues have already completed. The tutor is excellent and is putting me under no pressure to complete. I am allowed to go at my own pace.
There are maths and english tests that we had to complete. I have to say I worried about the maths exam as I had not to use maths for years. My tutor gave me full support by providing me with practice papers and on-line help. When it came to the exam I felt more confident and passed first time.
When I was deciding whether to take on the Apprenticeship I was worried that I would have to spend a lot of time on my own at home in order to complete. However, this is not the case, apart from practising maths and english exam papers, everything else has been done in the office.
I am enjoying the Apprenticeship and it does prove that you are never to old to learn."
Anne Twigg, Birmingham
"I have gained a Level 2 and recently completed a Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Firstly, I wanted to comment on the course content and say how relevant each unit has been. At first, I was not too keen on completing the Key Skills in maths and english and felt that the two portfolios were just extra work. I was extremely pleased to complete the maths at Level 2 and the portfolios were fun to complete - they have enabled me to seek further employment opportunities, which has been invaluable!
None of this would have been possible without the excellent tutoring I received from Vanessa Mann. She has assessed both courses and given me encouragement and inspiration throughout."
Janet Corker, Haywards Heath
"I wanted to bring to your attention how extremely pleased I am with the support and encouragement given to a client who JHP Training has recently supported. I am a Connexions Personal Adviser – Drugs Worker, working in the North Warwickshire area. I work with many vulnerable young people, who present numerous issues and use drugs to cope with everyday life. One of these young people, Laura, has been working really hard to change her life around and since getting in touch with JHP Training she has secured a Retail Apprenticeship. Laura is currently on a prescribed drug called methadone and never felt she would be able to move forward positively due to this. Her Employment Support Officer, Michala Hayes, has been excellent throughout her involvement and has been extremely flexible to meet Laura’s needs. Whilst being sensitive to Laura’s issues she has advocated on Laura’s behalf to ensure the transition into employment runs smoothly for Laura. Not every employer/centre/organisation that I work with are as understanding when dealing with young people who use drugs and alcohol to cope, but I can honestly say that Michala has shown empathy all the way."
