Welcome to JHP Liverpool and Birkenhead
JHP Liverpool has been successfully providing training opportunities for the people of Merseyside for over 10 years, helping individuals achieve their career ambitions by delivering a wide range of Apprenticeships, NVQs and “Soft Skills” training programmes.
We have recently relocated to the newly refurbished Cotton Exchange Building on Old Hall Street, a prime location close to Liverpool city centre and within walking distance from all our famous landmarks (i.e. The Beatles Museum and Liver Buildings).
JHP Liverpool’s reputation has grown from strength to strength over the years, a fine reflection of the excellent relationships forged between our employers and learners, who recognise us as one of Merseyside’s leading training providers.
In June 2004 we were pleased to announce the opening of a satellite Business Centre in Birkenhead, Wirral.

Out with the red carpet!
At JHP Training we’re rubbed shoulders with a fair few celebrities in the past, but a visit from Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, to our Liverpool certainly made for a day to remember.
The Prince chose to visit JHP out of a wide range of different training companies and colleges in Liverpool, so we worked hard to make sure that his trip was a worthwhile one.
Prince Edward was escorted around the Business Centre by JHP staff and our chairman and founder, Hugh Pitman, but he was especially keen to interact with young people. Current learners from our Entry to Employment programme turned out in force to meet the Prince, and were not disappointed, as he took time out to chat to individuals and pose for photographs.
One major part of learning with JHP Liverpool is its participation in the Duke of Edinburgh awards, where learners can gain recognition for gaining skills in things like teamwork and problem-solving, sometimes in the most unusual ways! Learners who had recently achieved were presented with certificates from the Prince, who in turn was presented with a card made by the learners. He was also given a large Winnie the Pooh teddy bear for his daughter Louise, who had celebrated her first birthday the day before his visit!

Career Success with JHP Training, one step at a time...
JHP learner Paul B started training with us back in 2002. A very shy and retiring young man whose self-confidence needed a boost, he embarked on a 12 week Life Skills course before moving onto a NVQ Level 1 qualification in IT. After one year Paul had completed his level 1 and felt confident enough to progress to an Apprenticeship. With guidance and support from JHP staff, Paul not only completed the programme but also managed to gain full-time employment, and is now completing his Administration Apprenticeship in the busy department of a Solicitor’s firm.
