How becoming a Skillseeker could help you
After joining JHP Scotland as a Skillseeker, you can expect to progress along a beneficial route of training which will provide valuable work experience within a real work environment. You will also have an opportunity to gain a Scottish Vocational Qualification in a relevant work area with the very real possibility of gaining permanent employment as a result.
Once in permanent employment, your time as a Skillseeker could lead you on to the next step - undertaking a Modern Apprenticeship. A Modern Apprenticeship will enable you to gain a further qualification at a higher level which will help you to become better at your job and more desirable to the employment market.

Explaining Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs)
As a Skillseeker a range of vocational qualifications are available to enhance your career prospects
If you are aged between 16-18, get in touch with JHP Training Scotland. We'll talk through your job aspirations, find out what skills you possess and then look to place you with a suitable employer.
Once on your placement, we'll get your qualification started. Depending on your ability and the type of placement you have, you will embark upon a Level 2 SVQ in any one of the following areas*:
- Administration
- Customer Service
- Distribution and Warehousing
- Hospitality and Catering
- Performing Manufacturing Operations
- Retail
- Team Leading
- IT
